About
In my mid-thirties, I discovered the deeper magic of yoga.
A regular dedicated practice helped me to a stronger & more agile body, increased energy and a calmer mind.
Being sporty and competitive, I pushed myself doing increasingly difficult and strenuous forms of yoga while working as a fashion designer with a busy family life.
It worked for a while. Until one day, it didn’t anymore.
I was always hurting with injuries, constantly tired without energy. I had no time and I just didn’t know how to relax, my sleep suffered.
Instead of pushing on, I pulled back. Hard.
I developed a style and approach to yoga that is more laid-back for body, our lives today and our overall wellbeing.
Now, I share this magic with people like you who struggle to rest, relax and suffer for it.
“Not only should the practice feel good, it must also lead us to a balanced, clear and positive state of mind”
Yoga is a life-long wellbeing practice.
The ethos at Daleen Yoga is all about you, your practice and facilitating your most enjoyable yoga experience.
There is a style for everyone, if you’re interested. It’s simply a case of finding what works for you.
The best type of yoga class is where everyone in the room is experiencing the poses in their own way; and feel supported to take those explorations.
Yoga isn’t only about being bendy - there is so much more to explore in your class.
Tune in to how you feel: notice and pay attention to yourself in the here and now, honouring where you are today and make the choices that feel right for you in the moment.
Coming in without expectation, trying new things and seeing how they work for you without attachment on the outcome. It’s not about ticking boxes and getting things off the list; it’s about experience.
Moving into a state of relaxation, tension and stress from our overstimulated lives falling away. We shift into a different place that is balanced, calm.
When you step off your mat you’re energised and relaxation and sleep follow in a more flowing, ease-filled way.

Get to know me
Yoga is my life-long passion, and I’ve become a bit of a geek, reading and listening to podcasts about science based yoga and wellness.
My own practice is very mixed, and depends on how I’m feeling on the day. There’s always some floor based feel good movement, a flow, sometimes some inversions like headstand, and meditation on most days. If I’m tired, my favourite restorative pose is legs up on a sofa. When I’m feeling energised, it’ll be active, experimental and playful.
I love pottering around my small London backyard, terrace, and 5 window boxes. I love nothing better than wandering around exploring a little town somewhere on the coast feeling the warmth on my skin, great food and long, lazy lunches in particular.
I’m always looking for ways to wear leggings with almost everything. As a former designer interested in sustainability I often while away the weekend mending and altering clothes - I am really picky about the way clothes fit and feel!
